Mattu's feelings are similar to Jared's because he is not very excited to be living with the Finch family just as much as Jared is unhappy to have the Amabo family living with them. Although Mattu is interested in the new room and house he will be sharing with Jared. They are different because Mattu DOES NOT want his picture taken and he has never used a phone before, where as Jared has a cell phone and uses his camera.
